Women’s & Girls Cricket

Launched in 2022, the Abingdon Vale Women’s Team have gone from strength-to-strength and we are always looking for new players to join. We provide opportunities for women and girls to play cricket in a fun, friendly and social environment.

Women’s Team

We welcome new players of all abilities to join us and details of our training sessions can be found below. The sessions are lead by an ECB Level 2 coach and sessions comprise a mix of softball and hardball activities. We enter several softball tournaments over the course of the summer which are usually played on Sunday mornings. For further details, please contact the Women’s Team captain Emma Bell

  • Training:  Women’s Team & Girls who fall into the U-15’s category.

  • When:  Friday evenings from 10th May onwards

  • Time:  6pm - 7.30pm  (Bar open after training)

  • Coaches: Stuart Cardy & Rob Hood

Did you know? Our ladies team won the Horspath Women’s Cricket Softball tournament in 2023. 

 

Girls Cricket

Whilst the cricket club are not actively planning to enter any teams into the Oxfordshire Cricket Girls leagues for the 2024 season, we are looking to hold a series of training sessions. For further information regarding this please contact Paul White

Membership & Fees


Membership applies to females of all ages, providing that the member plays only female cricket.
